Thun-Panorama
The oldest surviving circular panorama in the world can be found in the Schadau Park. The panorama was created by the Basle minor master Marquard Wocher in the years 1809 to 1814, and gives an insight into the civic life of the City of Thun, as well as a view of the magnificent backdrop of the Bernese Alps. The panorama was transferred to the museum in 1957 as a legacy of the Swiss Federal Gottfried Keller Foundation.
