Lake Thun Hohgant Nature Park
The Lake Thun Hohgant Nature Park can present some impressive things on its 350 square kilometre area: steep limestone cliffs, steep gorges, karst fields, caves and mystical moors. But not only these. The habitats in the Lake Thun Hohgant Nature Park extend from low-lying wet to dry, warm and nutrient-poor locations, and provide the basic requirements for man and beast. You can find more information here.
Gantrisch Panorama Trail
The Gantrisch Panorama Trail is one of the most popular hiking trails. The Panorama Trail lies within the local recreation areas of the cities of Freiburg, Bern and Thun, and is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the Bernese pre-alpine region. You can find more information here.
Diemtigtal Valley
The largest side valley of the Simmental Valley is the fifth largest municipality in Canton Bern. The Seebergsee Lake above the Zwischenflüh is very popular – as is the Aegelsee Lake with its high moorland area on the Diemtigbergli (500 meters from the mountain restaurant). The Meienfallseeli Lake above Springenboden and the Blauseeli Lake in Schwenden are also idyllic. You can find more information here.
